Definitely. Your bump in promotion won’t be nearly as much at big D
Project management at FAANG will pan out very differently than a big 4 after a couple of years. Plus growth will be way better.
Remember, projects in Big 4 need more implementation and strategy where PMO is not the most important cog in the wheel.
Whereas in a product company the PM can define a way how the project will run (including strategic objectives). So go for it!
Besides do you really wanna get stuck with points/miles/hotel stays/pretentious people all your life lol?
1) Moving to FAANG is justifiable from a resume perspective.
2) Typically the next significant jump for exit ops is at manager so I suggest taking it.
Do you like PMO work
Not a big fan but that’s all I’ve done in the past year
I feel that and definitely agree. I’m not in consulting for the long run. Only concerns:
1. Is it okay to leave the firm before even completing 2 years? Does it look bad on the resume?
2. Would I get much better opps / compensation once I’m promoted to C next year?
