Definitely research cap rate trends in different markets / sectors and be able to explain how different factors like NOI growth, financing structure affect IRR and equity multiple

Understand cap rates and how they do / don't move with market interest rates. You also want to be able to describe the life of a deal. Definitely memorize important benchmark rates

Worst case of sexual harassment that you know of? Do people report it or hide it?

Is making partner worth it?

I can’t decide. I had my baby 14 months ago. I took almost 9 mo maternity leave. I am a high performer on path to Senior Manager promo. I love my job. My kid is priority. I have been lucky to wfh. Husband and I take turns but it’s getting unsustainable. Daycares aren’t good enough. Anyone is good enough. I want to have my cake and eat it too. I have no answer. Nothing will be good. Did you go through this? I can’t decide to give myself to my work or my son, because clearly can’t do both.

Next spot to move? Currently in Chicago, and don't want to go to NYC. Sticking in consulting so it's not for career purposes, just change of location. West coast.. maybe..?

Leaving to Clerk in the Fall: Bonus Considerations.

I am leaving to clerk for a federal district judge in September. I expect that I will return to my current firm after. Should I expect some kind of handshake offer/discussion before I leave? And, if so, has anyone heard of bonus negotiations being a part of that conversation? It doesn’t seem feasible to ask for my 2022 when I leave in September, but what about asking for my full year-end bonus when I return in 2023 (rather than prorating)?
