As a credit analyst will have better exit opportunities. You will bein demand for banks, credit agencies and wide range of businesses. For cons, it is a highly stressful job. It can be demanding most of the time which affects your WLB.
The work isn't glamorous or exciting, but it's not necessarily boring, either. There's a good enough variety, but what I like most about my job is that there is a surprisingly good WLB, which is pretty rare in finance roles. There's also pretty decent opportunity for advancement as well, so that's a plus too.
Depending on where you work, you could get exciting names/industry to cover. WLB has been great for me.
Agreed, the exposure is a pretty solid reason to stay in the role for a few years at least
Weekend work is almost always expected when deals are about to go to market. A good place to learn different lines of business though.
