It depends on what's your starting point. Take a mock and then see what you need to work on. It's a mess of materials out there so it's very easy to get lost which I had to really stop myself from doing. Don't fall into the trap of too many materials. I'd recommend the below:
- OG for practice and Qs (the Wiley portal you get access to with the book is great, all Qs are digital and you don't need pen and paper)
- Use a mix of resources for theoretical study depending on where you are at rn. Don't fall for the marketing of new 'cool' portals like eGMAT. I've heard they're shit for quant and decent for verbal but there's still some issues there. I found Kaplan useful to read through for verbal and TargetTestPrep seems great so far for quant. It's a better buy than most.
- Test series should be used for practice but only the official GMAC tests are true indicators of score. All other algorithms are nowhere near and you'll only be misleading yourself.
- Basically, narrow down on what your level of prep is rn and then set a study plan for yourself based on the time you have and in that time use a mix of resources which is tuned to your way of studying and don't let incessant marketing mislead you.
GMAT veteran here. I found that a combination of thorough review of Original Guide followed by mock test series of any major agency such as Manhattan Prep works well. Contrary to popular opinion sticking to single study material is beneficial.
The OG book is literally your starting point to figure out your current position, may I say a diagnostic. After which, their guides specific to the verbal and/or quant sections depending on your areas of improvement. If you are one of those who like to do tougher mocks to challenge yourself and/or become more confident for the real test, Manhattan Prep has an online 10-test series that you can purchase. Hope this helps!
