I received a job offer today as a commercial real estate Portfolio Manager II for $110,000 base salary, 10,000 signing bonus and 15% annual bonus pro-rated. I’m in the second last week of my NP I had accepted an offer from PwC, but now I’ve got a good offer from Cogni and I know PwC won’t negotiate the offer or try to match what Cogni is offering, how do I tell PwC that I won’t be joining them?
Is is too late to inform them now?
What should be the right thing as I don’t want to burn bridges with PwC?

Is there a special tax on joining bonus? I read that joining bonus plus total income will be taxed for a financial year. Apart from this tax , is there a special tax on joining bonus. If there is a special tax, will the income tax be total salary plus bonus minus special tax?
