From what I’ve heard it’s a great place to be. (The catering is apparently top notch lol). Not sure on growth or hiring, but all the partners there I’ve worked with have been great.
I was interviewing there and was told that they aren’t a sweatshop like everyone says. Hours expectations are only ~2400 💀
I like it here, but in the last 15 months we got rid of a lot of folks billing more than 1800 hours. And some above 2000. So maybe you're not safe?
On the whole, K&E Dallas is a good landing spot if you don’t mind working really hard. Office culture is relaxed and social, partners and associates are friendly and approachable. The new office is super nice and the perks are great. All that said, it is still a sweatshop and you should expect to work a lot (nights, weekends, etc.). Those that are okay with working hard seem to like it, but those that aren’t end up hating it after about 2 years.
Corporate or lit?
Corporate!
I don’t think they’re net exporters of corporate work, are they?
I’ve heard they have good people in that office, but Kirkland as a firm is just the epitome of big law.
What about for lit?
Good for lit! Very strong
