I treat it as a getting to know you.

like

Thanks M1!

I usually treat these as above. I want to get to know you as a person and also want to hear about your CV. What are your interests, what jobs have you worked (internships etc.), what do you enjoy doing outside of work? I’m looking to see if you’d be a good fit from a character perspective.

Thanks for sharing EY2!

Just be personable and have a conversation. If you made it this far, you're fine on the technical side(resume is passing), so what the face to face is about is whether you can communicate or not. Client service is 50% communication, 25% actual work, and 25% documentation in my experience.

Hi. I am desperate to change jobs. I have two offer in hands: Deloitte Hyderbad on a contract basis with 15% hike and KPMG Bangalore FTE with 25% hike. I like Deloitte as a brand better.
None of of these two companies are willing to offer more saying that they have a tight budget.

Which one should I take? Please help me decide.

Hey bowls, how much CTC can be expected at MTS4 at netapp after being promoted from MTS3.

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
