6 months is troll level - can’t believe you’re still interviewing

They’re pranking you

Talent manager is quite like "head of HR" (never say this to them).
Won't be a case interview, so take it easy
OP, FWIW - while this sounds super frustrating, I think it’s much better to crush it for a year as an SC and get promoted vs struggling as an ASC (wouldn’t necessarily be your case, but I’ve seen it happy many times). Sounds like you have a good head on about this all things considered - would love to have you at OW!
If it's with a talent development manager it's probably not a case interview and just a chill chat about logistics

With this level of commitment, I would love to have you on my cases and would give you bigger opportunities to make Associate in a year. I am in NYO. Dm me when you get here.
After 6 months you might have developed into Associate. It’ll be easier for you to get promoted faster if you come in as Associate. In theory it doesn’t matter but in practice people will perceive you as SC and will be harder for them to justify rating you as Associate straight away. Whereas struggling Associate is still associate as a starting point.
Not my experience. A star SC is promoted quickly. Someone who is barely an associate ends up viewed negatively by some partners. I’d much rather be the SC promoted quickly.
What YOE/ position so you have at D?
4 yoe in sap.
Update - this was apparently a non evaluative interview and by asking more information with partners and being confirmed that the recruiter would discuss compensation the next day I was told business needs changed.
