This is why I secretly avoid 1:1s with my manager!

I’d discuss it with an internal mentor you trust before moving forward - can be a bad look to chase the next opportunity that quickly, even if it really aligns well with your goals.
Agreed as well. This is NOT the way to make your career goals known. Its a red flag for someone who's only 6 months in to already want to move before they had a chance to prove themselves worthy of a promotion. Instead, be strategic - if this is what you really want, wait about a year, crush your current role to prove you're worthy of a promotion and let your manager know of your career goals in your 1:1s. Set the stage, do the legwork and a year from now you'll be in a much better position to actually move towards the next level.
As long as policy allows for that type of moment, but we should stop feeling guilty about making career moves that follow your passion and career goals. The company has no qualms about alignment on your behalf when it suits them.
I do think 6 months seems rather quick to be trying to get a promotion. If you're close with your manager or another employee I would definitely ask what they think, but from an outside perspective I think it could be better to wait and get your bearings in the first role for a while longer
Go for it! If you don't make your career goals and interests clearly known when the opportunities come, you'll be more easily overlooked if/when they come back around. Definitely communicate your intentions and rationale with your team or manager. What you've shared here looks like very valid reasons to shoot your shot. Good luck!
What's your company's policy around this? I've worked at places that require 6 months minimum or a year. Others had no waiting period. I'd refer to your HR regarding the internal applications policy.
Consider having an informal chat with the hiring manager before applying and be candid about both why you’re interested and your concerns about tenure at the company. You may be able to he considered/interviewed without a formal application unless and until they decide that they actually want you for the position. Having your current manager see that you applied to a job only 6 months into your current position might not be the best look if you end up staying in your current role.
I know I don’t have a lot of experience, but I don’t care. I willing to do anything.
Definitely speak with your manager about it first. Not that you need his approval, but it will help. You definitely don't want him to get blindsided. That is not a good look for either of you.
