Anyone has extreme caffeine sensitivity here? I stopped drinking coffee since September because Everytime I would drink coffee, I would get really anxious and jittery a few hours after. Today, I was feeling sick so decided to make chai for myself. Black tea does have some amount of caffeine so I got very jittery 2-3 hours after consuming it. It is killing me and I guess I should give up on occasional chais too 😔

So, I started watching “Limitless” with Chris Hemsworth. Apparently, he found out he carries both genes for dementia which puts him at a higher risk. So the series is about him changing things in his life for longevity. The third episode is about fasting and he fasts for 4 days until the day he has to hunt for his food. Does anyone in healthcare have thoughts on this type of fasting? I know it is done in some cultures and religions, but to what extent?

When watching the news about people getting hospitalized with COVID, I noticed that many of them were catching pneumonia while in the hospital, and subsequently getting intubated. I suspect that for a not-insignificant number of people who catch pneumonia while hospitalized with COVID, this infection puts them over the edge and causes them to have to get intubated. Once intubated, people who didn't have pneumonia prior to intubation are now much more likely to get it....

We are a family of 4- husband, myself and 2 boys. We flew to Miami and came back. Other than being in flight and at the airport where we double masked, we were all by ourselves avoiding crowded places. Once back, my son got a cold, cough and slight fever too. We went to urgent care and they took a covid test, awaiting results. Now I’m super anxious and scared and feel stupid for exposing my kids. Anyone else in the same position ?
