Any social workers make a transition away from micro direct care clinical practice to something like Hr or operations in a health tech company? I recently worked for one and while there I helped out on the operations team. Since then I’ve had a big interest in shifting away from direct clinical practice. However, I am finding it hard to figure out how to brand/market myself and translate my clinical skills to language that would fit with operations/project management roles. Any insight?

I'm not a reporter, I'm just a citizen who took a picture during an event and uploaded it to my social media account. Turns out a digital media wrote me to have permission to use my picture, and when I said yes, they said they were looking for some other picture because I had already given permission to the competitors, which I didn't.
They just posted it without asking me, letting me know, or even mentioning my credits. Is this legal?

I think there's this myth that therapists have all their own sh*t figured out, and for me at least I know that's far from true (hopefully it isn't just me). On the contrary, I think we should be leading by example!

Anyone here ever struggled working at a private practice during your first year as a licensed counselor? I work well with the clients but I find it difficult to accept the pay I receive for the amount of work I do and is required. Hey there! really need a change in pace from being in higher levels of care, and am wanting to go part-time with my company and private practice, but I want to buy a house in the next year and am worried about finances. Can anyone speak to the hardships or successes or a counseling of practice and/or buying a home shortly after starting one? I feel trapped in my current job because I’m worried the timing isn’t right.

Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.
