Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

I am Offered 29.5fixed by PwC for SA (L2). Currently on 25fixed. Should I join ? In terms of WLB.! My current employer on fishbowl shows Deloitte but have left Deloitte a year back. Currently in a firm with good WLB but PWFH is a big win for me that PwC is offering.
Any guidance or fist hand experience sharing is highly appreciated.

Every single agency I’ve worked at that has good creative output, has teams or people who seem to be favourites. Almost always, it’s because they consistently deliver great work, great results, or both. Are you sure the work your CCO is choosing is actually “glaringly bad”? Or is the issue that you feel like you’re not getting a fair shot?
I wish this was about my personal feelings because it would be the easy issue to blame. When I say 'glaringly bad' I mean: pushing work that is off brief, off brand, not even the right set of products and even at some points (pointed out by others initially) total rips of work other brands have done and published (both from an art and copy perspective). The work submitted is pretty much a 1:1 copy of work by really recognizable brands (not even a small brand I would suspect could go unnoticed).
I've never seen this before and endorsed at that level.
I hear you. The only way to beat em is to join em. Try and get on your CCOs good side or keep watching from the sidelines.
I've started trying that. Haven't been too successful. Old habits seem to die hard.
Yeah. Set up a mtg with him and call him out on it. With respect - but tell him you want the opportunity to show what you can do.
Rather than “calling out,” you could try positioning it as a challenge for yourself. “I noticed Team X often has ideas that rise to the top, and I’d like to join them. What do you think makes those ideas so successful, and how do you think I could integrate that into my own work?” Ppl are usually more receptive to a request for help, and asking a Q can help get you on the CCO’s radar.
Is it your work that is not being put forward or others
Not just mine, others as well.
they’re usually the favourites because the work is good. do you have the same taste as your CCO? if not get out!
This is an incredibly naive take… I mean sure, that could be the case sometimes. But it is not a rule to go by AT ALL.
