Working with a recruiting firm towards an exit - they quoted a comp range for the job at the beginning of the process. In negotiations am I ok to ask for a comp slightly higher than the range quoted by the recruiter? My interviews have all gone extremely well.
Just trying to get a sense of how strict are the recruiter quoted ranges.

Does internet disconnect hurt my chances of getting a job? I had a final interview today for a remote job and was practically offered the job but at the last minute of interview, my internet didn't work. When I joined 5 min later, interview had already left. I sent an email expressing apology but haven't gotten a reply. I am felling anxious. Will I get rejected because of the internet issues?

Hello everyone. I never thought about making a career out of hr but its definitely something that I want to do now. Eventually, my goal is to become an HRIS analyst. At ADP i worked as a technical support analyst and helped clients with anything from troubleshooting system issues to reporting to processing payroll and much more. I've applied to over 100 positions and havent even advanced to a single interview. It has been rejection after rejection. Any suggestions on which positions to focus on?

I’m currently a high school teacher, but I have a final interview next week for an ID job that I feel very good about.

I plan on accepting the job offer if I’m lucky enough to be selected. However, I want to be able to give my school as much notice as possible so they have some time to find a replacement before the year starts.

I'm currently working for a startup that has been unable to pay us for 2ish months while they are trying to secure investor funding. They said they will back pay us and (we're working much fewer hours) and they were reaching into their personal savings for months before and never took a salary. Recently tried to buy series-I bonds from the fed and they refused to allow me to open an account without getting a notarized form with my address on it. They say it’s a 13 week processing time, which really pisses me off. Two questions:
1 - would I be able to max out 2022 plus 2023 series-I investments if they were bought in Jan 2023?
