I would initially look into trust and safety, corporate security, and law enforcement relations/investigations roles depending on your LE experience.
Every social media company has trust and safety roles related to moderating regulated goods (guns and drugs), child safety (child pornography), terrorism, etc that I could see LE experience adding value to. There are opportunities on the moderation policy development side and moderation operations/enforcement side, although I’d expect a hiring manager would consider you more for the latter.
Corporate security roles are at every company (not just tech), and while I don’t know as much about them, it seems like former Intel/military/LE make up the majority of this field. Think physical security of offices and personnel, cyber/IP security, and (depending on the type/size of the company) counter Intel work.
Law enforcement relations/legal investigations roles might be the rarest of the three, but you essentially act as the primary POC/liaison for external LE at your company, assisting with investigations involving crimes committed on, through, or adjacent to your company’s platform, devices, etc.
To better your chances, you need to first familiarize yourself with the most common requirements of these roles. You should also get as technical as possible—data science/analytics and project management experience and/or certifications would be the first steps here. (And I’d imagine you can frame LE work as project management experience pretty easily.)
As you work on your skills, you should also be networking with anyone from your personal network at these companies (even if they’re not in your desired role) to get more insight into the culture, structure, interview process, etc. You should also network with any other former LE members you can find at these companies in your target roles. LinkedIn is the best resource here. Open your messages by identifying your mutual background in LE, and come prepared with specific questions about their work and company—also be sure to have already identified currently open roles at their company that you want to learn more about or think you might be a good fit for.
Your end goals are to: 1) network as close to these open roles as possible to try to get a referral from someone on or adjacent to the team with the opening and 2) find an internal champion who’s not only willing to refer you, but also advocate for you internally (flagging your resume/profile to the recruiter and hiring manager for the role, following up on your application status, etc).
If you qualify for one of their programs, you might also check out BreakLine education. They specialize in placing non-traditional candidates in tech.
There are very few remaining open roles here at the moment, but if you can find one you’re qualified for and interested in, I’m happy to discuss it with you. Unfortunately, it’s a tough time to be looking to break into tech.

Thank you! I’m checking this out now.
You have a unique set of skills. Think about a leader in your field. https://sjobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search/Home/Home?partnerid=25037&siteid=5010&pk_vid=9abd1024908e72471659069327ac469e#jobDetails=679521_5010
Are you interested in sales, you could easily get in with a big tech company as a BDR. Usually those roles pay 50-60k base 15-30k in commission. 1 year in that role should get you to an account executive position that could be six figures in comp.
Please excuse my ignorance.. what is BDR?
Many large cities, school systems and amusement parks have need for Security, Homeland Security management, and Disaster Recovery management.
Walmart’s delivery logistics team is often the first responder with water and food and worker shelter. Their first touchdown teams depart to arrive at the earliest time they can set up. No affiliation, simple observation.
