Tough to give advice from afar. Could have been literally 1 of 1,000 things.
A) Test: retake
B) Narrative: Have friends who have been through the process review your essays. Have thoughtful conversations with mentors about your story. Basically get a lot of feedback - maybe there was an accidental red flag?
C) Recommendations: Could you find stronger reccos? Ppl who know you better or can reflect more recent accomplishments.
D) Expand your school list: I think reapplication is more competitive. Apply fresh to similar schools with your stronger app.
E) Work & extracurriculars: can you crush it in one or both of these domains?
