I don’t underestimate the power of small resets. I step away for five minutes, unplug, and breathe. I track little wins because they add up and show progress. For me, resilience isn’t about bouncing back fast but about not giving up on the bounce. I try to be kind to myself along the way.

Love this!
It sounds like burnout might be creeping in. Is taking a break an option for you? Even an extra long weekend? Giving yourself a chance to catch up on rest, recharge, and spend some time doing things you enjoy might make a huge difference for your focus and resilience at work.

Haha it is for sure. Good idea!!
If you feel like the bad days are getting to you, try to take some time off. Or if that's not feasible, at least make time to do things you enjoy. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate, sometimes just wandering through a bookstore or a library is enough to distract me from whatever has been stressing me out.

I am in need of PTO now that you mention it. Maybe I was saving it for a vacation but perhaps a staycation is in order

Therapy helps. Seriously. If it’s part of your health plan, take advantage.
I'm going through the same situation right now. I had one good day this week and am holding onto the fact that I can do it. I've been going on more short walks and it's helped.

You are not aloneeee

How do you catch yourself when you’re in downward spiral? I know it when it’s happened, but not how to catch it before it happens.
Do you have any vacation days you can take? If so, I’ll take some time off to refocus. Maybe you’ll find the job that’s causing a downward spiral more than anything else.

Great point. I’m always taking my banked up days right before NYE. I should be more proactive about resetting with some PTO during the year. Even if I don’t travel…just being away from my laptop would do me wonders.
