If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

PMP is very well recognized. Scrum alliance stuff is in most cases just a nice to have... I personally think it’s something anyone can get and companies should disregard it but yeah...
The firm has “unlimited” certification and trainings budget per employee so make use of it. It won’t hurt
No. Source: I have both.
TBH, I don’t see the point in having soft skills certifications. Cost-benefit of a PMP vs CFA is quite different
In consulting, in my experience don’t think it has value. People look for past project experience in PM or agile instead.
If you’re applying to project manager jobs in industry however, they use both certs as differentiators and prerequisites, so it’s good to have if that’s ever your plan.
PMP is definitely a harder cert to get. It’s requires specific knowledge of PMBOK standards. Scrum cert you could easily pass if you’re worked on agile projects before.
PMP has decent recognition. Don’t worry about Scrum
I was talking to a HR friend (not GH HR) the other day and he said a PMP might help boost the number by 10% or more.
