Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

I am exactly the same. In the last 5 years I have taken 13 days total, non-consecutive. I feel AWFUL not being in the office and that I’m putting my work on everyone else. It’s an awful mindset I need to break out of.
This is crazy. Take your vacations!! Take your sick time. The work will always be there
I take time off and I don’t feel guilty. In fact, it is the opposite. When I take time off, I feel GREAT! Last year, I took three weeks off to go Barcelona and a Mediterranean cruise. The year before that, I took a two week vacation to the Caribbean and then another week off to spend time with family during the holidays. I’ve only got this one life to live, and I’m going to live it.
That’s awesome. I think when the firm policy is more generous than 10 days, it might lend itself to a culture where more people take time off like that? I know there are exceptions where the “unlimited pto” thing is bogus. But with 10 days of vacation only, it is so rare that anyone in my firm takes a week off (because that’s half their yearly vacation!) that taking more than 1 at a time is a lot
