Anyone else feel like retail and hospitality workers are expected to absorb everyone’s stress lately? Customers are always impatient, staffing slow always short, and corporate keeps adding expectations while talking about “culture”. The people who show up every day are carrying these businesses. Appreciation is great, but adequate staffing and realistic expectations would go a lot further.

Given the general level of work-life unhappiness with travel and comments on the satisfaction from the challenge of this job, I think this industry is ripe for disruption. What do you think is next?
