Anyone else feel like they’re on eggshells with their deputy? I’ve gotten along great with all the clerks, judges, other employees, and even the deputies for other judges but ours seems to …hate us. She’s really condescending and critical. She (a non lawyer) told one of my coclerks (barred for over a year) to “think like a lawyer” when the coclerk did something the judge directed her to do but the deputy disagreed with. Lately it feels like there’s nothing we can do right in her eyes. Advice??

Is it normal to receive such large monetary awards? I think 50~100 is acceptable

Crazy ethics issue. Client 1 has VPO against man who later becomes Client 2. This is the 4th VPO this year, previous ones dismissed.

In the meantime, State has filed rape charges against man who becomes Client 2 and A/B charges against Client 1. Client 1 also files for divorce.

Clients reconcile (which is how they both end up clients...) and want VPO dismissed, divorce dismissed, and criminal charges dismissed.

DHS gets involved and want to remove the child from Client 1's custody. (1/2)

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...
Idk how to let go of this :/ Thoughts?

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.
