Anyone nearby Barclays kharadi?
Hey folks. Lets get this bowl more active!
Hi, I belong to the corporate bowl but I have snuck in to ask if anyone would be interested in assisting the Ukranian Crisis Legal Aid organisation that has been set up by a Hungarian law firm to pair up refugees and lawyers. The website is https://ukrainelegalaid.org and it was set up by KNP LAW Nagy Koppany Lencs & Partners (who I am not affiliated with). This is all pro bono. Feel free to PM me, especially if you are English qualified!

To the people saying "be a team player, suck it up", at what point do you draw the line? I understand you want to maintain a good relationship, but clearly whoever sold the project didn't take the firm policy into account when budgeting expenses. If they ask you to fly Spirit because "budget is tight", would you do that? I know that's an extreme, just trying to make a point.
Agree with D2. Maybe we should start taking Megabus. That'd really help minimize expenses...
Well; you can slap the policy and go ahead and book business regardless. HR can step in, as needed. There are a couple jerks at PwC who told me to take economy. Told them I wasn't going to do any of that.
lol y'all burning bridges with y'all management. Just suck it up and be a team player. Clearly the budget is tight. Managers will reward your ability to be a team player, and resent you for going against their request.
Dude. The management / client doesn't need to pay these. The firm usually pays the difference. You only bill the client for what it'll cost for a regular airfare. Sucking it up becomes less fun when you're on cross country projects and doing this for over 5 years!
That sounds like pretty bad advice from P1. That's a good way to piss people off and never have them staff you again, unless that's what you want. I'm not sure what your commute is, but maybe you could negotiate every other trip?
I'm a tall dude need dat space yo!
Yep. Because internally funded project.
Book economy plus or whatever they call it if you need extra space. I think that's a justified expense.
Domestic or international?
Pwc 1 when do you book business? How long of a flight? Are you manager or above?
P2 - yes, manager here. Also 75k. Cross county project, so business. International, always business, regardless of title!
Good to know...had no idea
P2 - all international is business. If you're 75k, manager and above, any flight above 3 hours can be business (or one class above coach) for domestic flights. Pretty useful when flying cross country!
It really depends on the expenses... If you start saying to bad and booking first class, that's an easy way to get removed from the project for someone local or closer who doesn't get the first class policy, and watch your utilization take a hit if there's no other work to be placed on.
