Anyone else started hating humans from working in HR? I hope no one ever talks to me again. I CANNOT receive 80 emails a day about 80 different topics and be expected to care about any of them.

I don’t know a HR professional who doesn’t hate people. Lmfao

I often laugh when I hear HR candidates say they want to join HR because they enjoy working with people. “Well, come on over. We can fix that!” is always at the tip of my tongue.

Haha yup! You are not alone. I've been part of some great HR teams though where we were able to commiserate together about our favorite problem children 😄

HR is one of the most grueling professions. Dealing with humans alone is already draining. I feel you, OP.

Same here. I hate people now.

Haha! This profession is not for the weak! I think hate is a strong but really a fitting word.

You do know you chose a career in Human Resources....? lol I mean it's ok to hate your job but it may be a sign to pursue something different. The good news is HR can translate into a lot of different career fields.

Like what? I think I’ve come to the end of my HR career, but can’t find a suitable transition.

Humans can be frustrating but most of the time they just want to be heard. More than likely there is a root issue other than the surface complaint. At the end of the day, if it’s too frustrating you may want to think of a different career path. Your mental health comes first.

Especially when the employees leader should have been able to answer the question or deal with the situation

I put Clown mode on our biometric time clock in our special office a month ago and they just realized it.

Bc HR made me hate humans, I moved over to IT

I don't hate people but I get really annoyed when one of my team member calls me to ask thing that are on a spreadsheet we share.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.
