Just signed an offer for pe summer 2021 (deal team) and not sure how to best use the next 12 months development wise. What are the core skills I should focus on honing before I leave?

Any one made the jump from advertising to tech? If so how did you do it?

Does anyone have free or cheap resources to prep for cscp exam?

Anyone switch groups from RR to lit?? If so, what was your experience like?

Any tips/tricks for the UBE, particularly the MEE or MPT portions? I did a couple practice MPTs but largely ignored it because most samples are simplified work tasks (memos, letters, whatnot). What did you do for MPT prep? Was it sufficient?

How would you compare the UBE to a state-specific exam (like Florida or California) in terms of difficulty?

Hi all. I am licensed in life, accident and health and am looking for new opportunities. I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. My boss favors others when I do the most work!!

I’m looking for a mentor in the tech / start up industry at the moment. I’ve been in HR for around 2-3 years and currently working in fintech for 8 months. I love the tech industry and I love how fast paced everything is. I started my career working alongside a manager that wasn’t always present and now working in HR alone. YOE vs title as a data analyst.
When doing research on job board websites, the actual “data analyst” title seems to be more entry level and “senior data analyst” seems to be more 3/4 + years of experience.

My question is: Are there any data analysts out there without the ‘senior’ in their title with more than 3 or 4 years of experience? / In your opinion, what separates those without the ‘senior’ in their title from others (YOE may not be all of it).

I have a PhD, but damn does an MBA not seem fun and useful for networking. Has anyone gone after PhD and a few years of consulting?

My background is in tech transactional. I joined a cybersecurity SaaS startup at the end of last year and now also handle more generalist matters in addition to all things commercial-related. I’m currently an associate with an asian asset management company. I previously have been in pr agencies where work is fast paced and as an intern, i understood the intensity needed to work and consider myself as someone who is really willing to work hard long hours and deal with pressure. This role is something Ive wanted as in to break into the finance world. They described the company to be a fast paced one as they deal with multiple launches but i am finding it slow. Any tips?

I have 10 years of experience. Mostly in Unix, C++ and Visual C++ and MS SQL. I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security. Along with these I was able to clear 8 Azure certifications as well: 3 fundamentals, Azure Security, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps and Azure Architect.
