Is Huron hiring right now?
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

The fact you said “formerly PwC” is all you need to know really, no brand name so they hang onto PwC. They aren’t a CPA firm meaning they have to sub on proposals that require that when previously they didn’t. They lost their largest contract right after they were sold. They are PE owned so the leadership/owners/direction will undergo a change in another 5-7 years.
And I think most telling, attrition seems to be at an all time high. A few weeks ago there was a post in the federal consulting bowl that “the best partner” (an opinion shared by all that posted) had left. Other partners have left, which seems to say something about where leadership sees the firm going. A lot of managers and below have jumped ship. Seems like they are finally promoting people that started with the company12 years ago and been managers for the last 6, implying to me that they are promoting just to keep people on board.
Sounds like the rest of PwC...complete mess.
We’ll hire you if you have a pulse, and probably even if you don’t if you can impress during your interview 🤷🏻♀️
Everyone saying we are a “startup” is lying through their teeth. Guidehouse is a Government contractor that primarily provides audit readiness, internal controls and financial management services. We are at a competitive disadvantage to compete for these contracts because we are no longer a CPA firm. The other “management consulting” services we provide are still mature offerings (change management, IT Audit, etc.). There is nothing disruptive about our business model, cost structure or corporate strategy that differentiates us from our competition. The only similarity between a “startup” and Guidehouse is our immature and overtaxed back office.
Guidehouse has many non CPAs doing FIAR/IT Audit/A-123 work. Federal spending numbers put GH’s dependence on that type of work closer to 50%.
Generally good, lots of opportunities to help grow accounts and be part of a midstage startup.
I was placed on a very poorly managed team and have had a pretty terrible time because of it. I wouldn't say my experience is indicative of the firm as a whole but I'm certainly not the only one.
Same situation here. New hires at the SC level are not ready to lead teams (or even themselves at times) but I will say, managers with prior PWC experience stepped in and addressed the situation as soon as it was brought to their attention.
Guidehouse has 1823 employees now. Just checked. So that is roughly 28% growth from last year in terms of headcount. All promotions in my sector were very competitive and linked to significant wins which again is related to true growth. We have been hiring a lot not because of turnover, but because of wins. CPA audit work limited us, as without audit conflicts, we are building commercial businesses that public sector employees could not explore previously. My sector is constantly focused on new, innovated captures and big opportunities. Definitely seeing major positive trends.
