I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.

I hopped from Arn to Mullen back in the day - best decision ever. That said varies by level, dept etc and most definitively by boss - it was a more relaxed and fun culture - This was pre Lowe though
@strategy director 1 what did you like better about mullen??
@OP Mullen was less corporate. Felt more cowboy - they were willing to fire shitty clients (Panera) and they would reward people for their work and their brains. You were encouraged to have a voice vs follow the leader. Arnold at the time was so account led (in a bad way) that strategy and creative suffered a good bit IMHO. The people at Mullen were happy about the work vs the name on the door. The leadership at Mullen gave a damn (Cavallo was CSO, Tim and Dave ECDs, Alex President - all are still with the agency)
Also, my account people at Mullen taught me what good account people were. There were a few I liked at Arnold for sure, but at Mullen they were just better on the whole
