Why jpmc is so slow isn't it another sbi Bank
Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Leave Deloitte for OW? Interesting
Are you ok with making less?
Really depends on the interviewer. Some of them are more of an analytical conversations, others your standard case format.
OW cases run a pretty wide range, some asking a very specific question that takes structure to answer well, and others very open ended but intended to see which angles of a complex problem you engage with
@A1, I never said the case wasn't analytical. I just said the former wasn't necessarily a case..
Mine was accelerated recruiting so idk if this is standard, but had a call with brief situation and super open-ended questions. Not at all like other case interviews I had done
Following
Mine they asked me to estimate the operating income of Starbucks. No additional direction, but they made me go really granular with assumptions.
Ow1, a case isn't analytical? Do you know what you're talking about??
Go deep. Mini cases for me. Not the hard part at all
My phone case was on conducting a knockout tournament. Had to do a break even analysis to see if it will be profitable. It was very analytical. Kinda like a puzzle I would say. Later interview was on how many ATMs should a bank open. You had to ask questions for data.
@C1 and D2 I'm advisory not DC unfortunately :(
Ok. I guess I can get that. It's just that cases are a subset of analytical conversations. It's best not to describe a case as something "other" than an analytical conversation, as you did.
Brain teaser, market sizing and market entry cases. LOTS of numbers and weirdly technical questions on financial statements.
