I am planning to buy some furniture and got to know that there is some kind of allowance in DUSI where they reimburse for things like work desk, chair. What else can be reimbursed in that? My joining in DUSI is in a couple of weeks.
Omg I hate my job! In short I am a data scientist on paper but I am not very technical. In reality I have the skills of an entry level data analyst. However I am working at a company with data scientist that are, very academic, research heavy, and deal with a extremely boring domain (insurance). I want to leave asap but I have very little project and work experience because things move slowly at my job. I just need a glimmer of hope!
Team- need advice. I've been trying to break into strategy for 2 years. I'm at the junior level, but I already managed to bring a new client to my agency, build their brand book and helped lead focus groups. It's like I'm a junior planner without the title. How can I finally break in?
Thoughts on this offer from Capital one (pre negotiation)

4th year Finance Associate (project finance, real estate and some general corporate). Starting to receive more significant drafting responsibilities now. While precedent is of course the gold standard and is the first tool, I would appreciate hearing from other ascending associates as to any tools, tricks, etc. that ascending associates have used to improve, eliminate mistakes, etc. Thanks!

Now that everyone is working from home, it’s a good idea to call you accountant and make sure you’re taking advantage of the home office deduction.
How to not panic that a good portion of your project is incomplete and you’re on PTO? I completed the work that I was assigned, but today found out that we’re missing a number of deliverables.
Hello! I am a Technical Sourcer/Recruiter at a reputable FinTech company. I would like to transition into Project Coordination/Management within the tech space. Any tips for the transition? Recruiters: I am open to entry level & contract roles to gain experience! Thanks in advance for the assist!
I do fractional GC work, but have gotten in pretty deep with one client. I log about 100 billable hours/month with them, but because I agreed to a total fee cap, I’m really only getting about 100-120/hr. It’s every bit a full time job, and it’s really wearing me out. What’s a reasonable rate?
So I just had a client tell me their asylum case is fabricated, and can't I help prepare the person for court. My initial reaction, fire the client. I'm not that kind of atty. But I hear so many talk about finding a balance and not turning ppl away bc ultimately they need a defense and who knows what will come up along the way. How would you handle? How do you find the balance btwn not turning clients away but not being unethical?
I started a new role and inherited a lazy/misinformed strategy. Does anyone have recommendations on a process to change the minds of account and client to direct them toward better work?
Looking for in-house remote opportunities, 3rd year atty.I know recruiters focus on firms, but please reach out if you have an in house client.
Are all consultancies the same? In terms of how they function, process for obtaining a project, etc.
Within a thread someone posted about a great website for high paying sales jobs. It was not, indeed, ladders or Bravado. Does anyone know of other websites? Thank you
How scandalous is keeping my entire emergency fund (6 months) in US treasuries? Not interested in CDs nor HYSAs with the current sh*t interest rates
I am interviewing for an in house job. Large startup in Europe (had Series C and raised 150M) and is starting a US presence. They want to pay base and bonus but bonus is all RSUs/options. It’s significant (about 75% of all in comp). Are these entirely worthless if the company never goes public?
I hate ambiguity. I just want a job where I know what I have to do each week. 3 YOE and all the work I’ve done has dealt with using client data to provide insights. whether that be building the dashboard myself or directing other people on what data we need and what dashboards to build…what type of roles outside of consulting can I pursue?

I saw some WP complaining online about seeing Black people in more commercials and on company website. They felt these companies are pandering to BP. Why was this ok when we only saw WP in commercials and on websites! Smdh
I received an offer from Stripe for a non-engineering role, total comp is $300k with $240k in cash comp. The cash comp is almost the same as what I’m making now. Do you think it’s worth it to make the move? Also, I’m based out of a HCOL location and plan to move to a lower cost location. Should I approach that topic now with the recruiter or wait until (if) I start with Stripe first l. TYVM.
Has anyone noticed that hiring seems to be slowing?? I’m unemployed what am I supposed to do….
Late into the game for high growth. Have been reading about and tracking results for high growth names like Twilio, NOW, Atlassian etc. Are these names worth getting into on a slight pullback? I have few that I bought in October. Also, what are the current themes - I missed out on EV, and meme stocks unfortunately.
What a day ! 10 miles hike with 2700 ft vertical gain @11800 ft. It gives me boost to work for another 2-3 weeks at least.
Can anyone confirm me that does Accenture pays night allowance outside of CTC or is it part of CTCs adhoc allowances?
I’m an L4 MD at Accenture in health industry with 18 YOE and still a few years away from L3. I’m being considered for an executive role in a medium-sized firm focused in health, reporting to C-Suite with much broader responsibilities than my current role, a P&L three times my current sales target and about 40% higher TC.

Finally watched The Social Dilemma on Netflix. It didn’t say anything that we didn’t already know about social media and big tech, but it’s still alarming and worth the watch. The biggest question I have after watching is why do people still romanticize FAANG? Is just purely the money and prestige? Are we selling our soul for a highly regarded exit opportunity? Just curious.
