Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Have you looked into the E3 visa. It’s exclusively for Australians and it never hits its max quota I believe
Yes, E3 visa does make it easier. However still need a signed offer letter to get it. Companies would need to be willing to sponsor - even if it is very low cost, low complexity process for E3.
I have started reaching out to recruiters and my network for firms open to this so I don't get dinged at the application stage.
You’ll want to target the consulting companies because they sponsor H-1Bs — and an E-3 is way more attractive than an H-1B. You will probably have to network your way in though. I think clicking the “needs sponsorship” box in the application is often an automatic rejection.
Not sure about PE, but American corporate strategy roles do not sponsor. I was working in corporate strategy at an American multinational before moving to AUS, and I passed along a perfect fit for a role we were recruiting for, but s/he was rejected that moment they learned s/he needed sponsorship.
