How do you start building confidence in your legal judgement? I’m a rising 5th year and, now that I’m running my own deals, I’m making a lot of decisions on my own. I was really hoping that after a few deals the anxiety would lessen…but it hasn’t. I’ve been told I’m doing a great job, but my billing has become inefficient…which I know stems from me quadruple checking everything. I honestly don’t know how to fix this - any recs?

I’m a new tax manager with a degree in accounting and management from a top b-school. I haven’t liked me job for a solid 3 years and really only stay in it for because I’m very good with clients and love working with them. Other than that I don’t like how technical my job is and busy season takes a toll on me. Any ideas for paths I could take to get out of this and still have the client aspect without 3.5 months straight if 70+ hour work weeks?

So I got an offer for audit after interning at EY. Just finished another internship at BDO for tax unexpectedly got a better offer and the people were way nicer. Is it bad to back out after I already accepted my EY offer? which should I pick????
