Hi fishes! I had asked for benefits other than CTC which Bank of America provides & now that I've completed 1 month here, here's the list of allowances you'll be getting irrespective of position/band:
1. Sodexo: 1300 p.m./ 15,600 p.a.
2. Transport allowance: 900 one way, 1800 two ways p.m./ 21,600 p.a.
3. Internet: 1500 max p.m. (other than that, one time installation charges)
4. Tuition fee: Any certification related to your field. Like CFA, FRM etc. 3,00,000 p.a.

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

Yeah I don't see why they would make the change unless it was better for their bottom line. There's no way that it's better for employees than a cash payout would be. They're just trying to make it look like it's not a cheap move
Exactly. This move primarily benefits the company’s cash flow right now while setting them up for a nice tax deduction in three years when the RSUs vest…assuming all employees stick around that long, which is pretty unlikely.

RSUs are great for high growth companies, not sure about HP

Over on our side we still got our cash bonus, instead we didn't receive a raise at all. As far as I understood it they were giving us this 3 year RSU instead of a raise. Kind of a bummer as I thought one of the benefits of putting in time with a company like this would be looking forward to raises. However, overall I'm very happy with the company they are helping me go the direction I want with my career. Maybe I'll see a raise next year.
Most employees won’t stay around that long so long term savings and improved cash flow in the ST ….FCF must be hurting??
I have a little more incentive to make them worth more. The problem is three years is a long time in today’s market. And I’ve been party to being shorted by being let go.
They plan a massive headcount reduction so >50% of these rsu will never vest.
