I like this idea. Thank you
No one has asked the most important question...who are you marketing to. Do not say everyone, no one is good for everyone. Be a niche therapist, if you want to work with working moms, go to LinkedIn. If you want to work with people with severe mental health issues, connect with hospitals. There's no magic bullet to finding all the clients, so pick one client type and start there.
Facebook, Insta, Tik Tok.
Seriously!!
I’m utilizing these platforms but the algorithm must not like me lol
Get listed on Psychology Today and any other professional source that does a good job of vetting people. My spouse uses Google analytics and has had good success with connecting with local churches too if that's your thing.
Interesting... It seems like he still gets fair amount of traffic from them. Maybe it's because of his specialties and certifications. There's no one size fits all answer unfortunately. He doesn't take insurance either. Never has. Not sure if that matters...
Instagram has a lot of ads for therapists.
I'd say psychology.com is a good starting place.
I’m on a bunch of directories including there ❤️
Make sure you have your Google page set up— location with hours and a link to your website. Include a picture of yourself on the website and a description of the clients you specialize in. Make it easy to request a free 15 minute greet/consult chat with you. This is what I’ve looked for when looking for a therapist.
Get onto platforms like zocdoc.
If you have a specialty connect with professional orgs in that area that can seed clients to you.
There are also therapist networks you can join like “FindMyWellbeing” or “Alma”.
You may also consider partnering with other licensed professionals who are content creators just to get your name out there more
