Yes. I googled the topic and one of the first people to show up I went to their website, booked a free intro call, and then I hired them. Cost me about $1,500 for the package of service I got. Now my coach is my friend, and I got an over 8,000% return on my investment. Absolutely worth it.
My project with my coach had numerous parts including rewriting my LinkedIn profile, getting new pictures, rewriting my CV, discussing my plan for posting content on LinkedIn, then introducing me to people in their network (big important one), changing my location on my LinkedIn to a more “search relevant city” that is nearby where I live and easily commutable, and most importantly: my strategy for connecting with people in a genuine way on LinkedIn. I am self employed by my coach mostly works with employed people. I was also open to employment this whole time but nothing ever came along that could beat my own gig. From the work that I did with them I can directly tie income from streams that I won. For example, while using their networking strategy I connected with a guy and he DMed me immediately to talk. The next week I signed a sub-contractor agreement to work on a client of his and 4 weeks later I was paid for the memo I wrote: €6,000. Boom already paid for my coach fee and I know I would not have gotten that work without my coach. Add up all the income I could tie back to my coach divided by the fee I paid.
Why are they asking accounting questions for tech M&A roles? I have done tech M&A in past but that was never a criteria, at best its knowing basics of Capex vs Opex and asset depreciation
Yes have used a career coach - highly recommend, but would make sure you pick a good one, I think there are a lot of mediocre ones out there
Mind sharing yours contact information over DMs?
Wow how DE gets into M&A? Are you taking care of the tech merge part?
Yes. Front office (product/software) and back office (IT applications, infrastructure)

Eh proceed with caution, a bunch of useless people call themselves career coaches. I tried Better Up through my firm, they were nice but felt more like therapy.
I am not sure why a tech M&A role would require any accounting/finance background. Either you’re applying to the wrong roles or don’t know how to navigate ambiguity in your interviews. Expand your job search locations, update linkedin, contact recruiters on LinkedIn, and develop your interview skills.
I recently interviewed with Accenture Startegy for the IT M&A role, too. I cleared the case interview but didn't clear the final round.
Hey there I do career coaching on the side and have coached 570+ people in the last 5 years or so with good results from clients. If it's okay, I'll be happy to DM you to learn more about your background and see if it's a good fit to have an intro call.
Let’s chat!
Yes I have hired a career coach, but the important thing is to hire them for a specific purpose. My coach and I are working for a limited time on a specific topic. I've known the guy for a while but waited until my my schedule was a bit more predictable.
Hit me up if you need a career coach
