I Love Boeing, let them tell whatever, we will improve day by day, we will learn from the mistake, we don't do it again, we will come back as strong value.

How long have you been with the company? If for a long period of time do you feel the culture has shifted from engineering to business deadlines? I am curious about your experience seeing as the media at the moment has its teeth sunk in on Boeing.

I'd be pretty embarrassed to work there

I have a friend who works there and she has been trying to find something else and get out of there. Seems like the ship is sinking and people are starting to really panic about layoffs. I can't say I blame them.

I had interviewed for Cognizant and I was asked to submit my documents for offer letter release. This happened on the same day as my interview(Friday 6th May). And is there a possibility that they can reject my profile at this stage?

How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? I’m the only mechanical engineer at my company dealing with a half dozen cranky production managers who think that I can “work my magic” on a machine. Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?
