I've had some friends go to Nike. Despite the negative press recently they love/loved it. One of my friends was a women's wear brand manger. Good travel opportunities and always seemed to be at cool sporting events (e.g. Stanley Cup, Knicks, Lakers).
It sounds like you’re pretty excited about the role and the company themselves. The pay sounds pretty good to me, how much experience do you have and how much are you currently making? I think though since the pay is solid, if you’re legitimately excited about the role and the company, you should go for it! Congrats!
@EY
It’s a consumer goods conglomerate:
Lemonade
Victoria’s Secret
Mr. Pibb
Hotmail
Screw the pay...how’s the discount???
Damnnn that's sexy
$225K all in. Sounds reasonable, 🐠?
(Feeling this is the best they can offer, and the HR lady was too nice, so we settled there 🤣...still trying to get more vacation days for travel 🌎)
Besides $$$, two things make me want to take this offer: 1. They commit to have 50% women in the LEADERSHIP 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏾♀️ 2. Their strong growth in Asia, where I can see myself live in and take a higher level role later on.
Haven’t signed the offer yet. Any advice is appreciated! 🐠💪🐠💪
A marketing role under the Global Digital Strategy team - will be leading a team of analysts for analysis on their digital campaigns and Ecommerce across key markets
Whats lvmh
Please tell us everything. dream exit.
Thank you all! I have 7 years of work experience and MBA; mainly focus on CPG and TMT clients for analytics and strategy projects in the US and also internationally.
My firm’s path is analyst - sr analyst - consultant - senior consultant, so I do have experience managing analysts. 30% of interview questions are related to people management, so trying to gain some experience managing or mentoring junior staff when you can, if you are looking to take the jump for a director role on the client side.
Lastly, although it’s not required, speaking foreign languages also helps if you want to work in a global team :)
Best of luck in your search 🐠🐠🐠
Do it for the badassery alone.

Congratulations OP! Make sure to watch Devil Wears Prada before you join. Probably a good idea to burn all your clothes and go shopping with a stylist.
Had a gf who worked in fashion though she was the opposite of a model. She said it was like being surrounded by model-looking women all day and it really killed her self confidence for a while, till she realized she was much smarter and ppl didn’t see her as a threat due to her avg looks
LVMH is pretty cool- how’s the pay?
Marketing > Corporate Strategy. Obviously depends on the company and role, but generally, corporate strategy doesn’t give you P&L responsibility. Marketing doesn’t always either, but I’ve heard it can get you closer.
Thoughts above may be controversial but just my 2c! Excited for you and the company though! Ask if you can talk to some folks on the team and at the company before you accept?
@ Bain1- thank you for sharing perspective! This digital strategy team is closer to p&l, but the company’s US CEO is also a former consultant with McKinsey for 16 years - just to bring some hope to 🐠🐠🐠
What's the role? I know some people who work there who are in love with the brand but no idea what it's like to actually work there. It must feel great to work for a brand you really love
so you’re making the jump from senior consultant to director? Congrats! How is the pay? Scope of role?
If I got an offer I’d take it!
