In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

I’m not a biglaw attorney but have been working on a few matters with Wilson Sonsoni for some time. We have a good working relationship. Didn’t go to a T14, had middle of the pack grades. What’re the odds they’d consider me as a lateral in the Washington DC office? Is it even worth applying? Is a STEM background absolutely mandatory? Any other insights on culture and expectations at WS’s DC office would be appreciated. Thank you 🙏

Anyone else getting pretty harsh feedback on your candidacy as a whole from Maria at applicant lab? I feel like I have a doable shot at my target schools based on gpa, gmat and essays but every time she reviews she suggests I have no chance. It’s been pretty discouraging.

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

What are MBA offers now in consulting starting next year ?
