I can’t get out. I’m a barred attorney looking to move into a JD preferred role. I don’t like being at a firm. I’ve applied to hundreds (literally) of contract, compliance, regulatory, etc. sort of jobs. I’m not looking for a crazy salary either. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. How do I make the switch? I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?

I was promoted to SC in Aug 2020, and milestone year shows 2024 (4 years).

Is this normal I thought SC-M was 3 years and 2 for an early promo.

Advice and/or consolation anyone? My wife and I (both above average health 30year olds) were trying for 11 months before getting pregnant and then had a week 5 early miscarriage a few months back. Quarterly bonus (per annum): 23k
130% Annual bonus = 11.5k
"23% commission on quota minus base": 37k (don't understand this)
"Proposed 23% commission on 150% quota minus base": 86.5k
Sales commission threshold per month: 22k
OTE: 122k
Cost/Sales: 28%

That base salary is lower than my previous base by a significant amount by 32.7%
