Anyone need an intern? In NYC/NJ?

Hi all!
I’m currently on my last year of university, pursing a computer science degree. I have yet to get an internship, or any experience in tech. Any advice on where to start? I would be attending part time in the spring semester and taking night classes so I would like to have something set up for January, let me know what you think. Thank you in advance.

As an intern, how do you deal with an associate that (1) is overly patronizing, (2) that consistently takes credit for your work in front of the partner and (3) that thinks their work is top priority?

I don't know if this is a recent change but I’m seeing postings for junior copywriter/community manager roles. Have these roles always been attached or posted at a junior level? Is this merged role worth considering as someone young in the industry with more traditional intern and freelance copy experience.

I am a Master’s Student who landed up with a Product Management internship. I am enjoying it and have done tasks that I thought were not my cup of tea. Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.

With experience of 8 years, is it ok to join in a startup as cognos report developer?

I find it so hard to connect with patients with things like chronic pain or fatigue. Disease just feels so obscure and multifactorial to me

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)

I have been a software developer (professionally) for about 7 years now, but I’ve decided to move out from that job and do something else (still in tech).
I don’t know yet what to do exactly, but I know I just don’t want to be only writing code every day.
Tbh, I am scared. But I have set myself one year to learn something new.

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?
