About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

I’m in the Cloud GTM team and work along Pursuit Leads every day.
1) not much in the way of career growth at Google. It’s not anything against the role, it’s just incredibly specialized to selling professional consulting services, and that doesn’t really transfer well internally, unless you go further down the sales path. Everyone who has done an internal transfer or grown in the role ultimately moved to sales. So know that going in.
2) there is a heavy administrative/ sales ops component of the role, managing contracts, building sales decks, delivering presentations to customers, stakeholder follow up, internal meetings and coordination, it can feel like you’re burning a LOT of calories for not that much gain
3) as people, the Pursuit Lead leadership / management are my favorite. Very nice, very considerate, they all are happy people. However, that doesn’t mean it’s the best “career”.
Pursuit leads in GCP are more pre-sales backend support for sales…though there is an effort to provide more direct customer sales exposure…more clerical role..doing slides.. contracts…trying to sell high cost services working with product pre-sales teams, account consulting leaders, account sales execs …used to be spread across 20+ accounts..very tough sell except when using credits..thankless job
