Exit opportunities from Forensics?
I currently work at a super small firm in dc working on international litigations and some arbitration and I’d like to transition to a medium or big firm, but am feeling discouraged because of all the talk about how bad the job market is. Anyone out there have any advice on firms with litigation or arbitration associate openings? (I’m a 2018 grad)
For your resume, how many bullet points under your XP with your firm straight out of college is too many? I’m a senior and don’t have anything else since college that’s relevant. Also, how do you feel about a small section above the bullets detailing the position (where the bullets are more about your achievements in the position)
What are some good gifts for assistants or staff who work on your team or in your office? New to the role and I want to make an effort this season. Ideal price range up to $50/60 dollars on each gift, I need five gifts. All ideas are appreciated!
How can I get into a position in ServiceNow? 3 YOE at D and ACN as a ServiceNow implementation consultant and would love to work for ServiceNow itself. I’ve applied to a few roles a couple weeks ago but haven’t heard anything.
Which agencies ARE well staffed? Getting annoyed with the shenanigans at mine where we take on more work without hiring/replacing.
I work for a toxic company that doesn't seem to want to promote anyone on the legacy product or women in general. I haven't gotten a title change in years but I do the work of a Sr. Manager. None of us on legacy are allowed to start work on the new system which means everyone gets promoted around us. Has anyone else worked for a company that kept you down but you were able to get hired for a role seemingly much higher than the one you have now?
Looking to make an exit to FAANG (mostly Apple, FB, and Google) into their RE teams. Would really appreciate any info/advice/referrals that could help make this happen. Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone! I recently transitioned from a technical project manager role to an integrations product manager role. I am loving this so much more than project management and I’m very eager to learn more! I was curious what are some of the best books, articles, courses that have helped you grow the most? And do you have any other tips and recommendations for someone just starting out in this career path?
Thank you in advance!
I just saw a few good postings at Microsoft Canada - specifically for a Project Manager role. Are there any recruiters out there? I’m an experience PM with a PMP with 9 years of IT experience and 4 years of Project Management.
On job descriptions are the years of experienced required section usually accurate or recruiters trying to get overqualified candidates? Let’s say I want to apply for a position that requires 4 but I have 3.
I wish to join one of the top consulting firms like McKinsey, BCG, B&C etc. I am currently working as a Business Analyst with a work ex of 3 years.
I have started exploring on my own and one thing that came out different were Case Studies interviews and I have started reading and preparing for them.
I will do MBA also post working in one of these firms.
I was hoping if anyone can help me to prepare better or suggest a plan to land a job for a role that aligns with my ambitions.

Soo what if I audited the company my brother works for, but didn't realize he worked there until after the audit was already over. For context, for the life of me I could never remember the name of the place he worked, and then my mom said it today and well.... it all clicked.

Any advice for when you have a few agencies/clients *potentially* wanting to book you at the same time but they are wishy washy to *actually* seal the deal with a contract?
My gut instinct is to tell each potential client that another agency is trying to book me (like when you get far along in the FT interview process) but that seems melodramatic for freelance, right?
EY folks, a colleague of mine had his RFE rejected.1st time in the lottery. He still has 8 months on his F1 left.
Does anybody know what options EY Law offers? Do they file for a Motion-to-reopen?
Anyone received interview invites with kpmg for summer 2022 roles yet? I’m wondering if applications are still being reviewed or if I should be prepared to receive a rejection email 🙃
Agile project delivery - Fact or Fiction?
The places I’ve worked at, as much as they say they delivery projects via agile, rarely achieve this (mostly waterfall with a small sprinkling of agile words thrown in for good measure).
Google / Facebook (Meta) / Amazon / Tesla / Apple / anyone else - please tell me that agile project delivery exists (and how have you made this possible in your company?)
Anyone know if I can bring private swim coaches in the DC public pools? OR where can I learn swimming? It’s been so hard to find lessons :(
I just took over a SAAS product where I own P&L with 800 B2B clients with so much customization that it feels like 800 versions of the product. The product was acquired and there are a ton of process improvements needed, tribal knowledge and start up mentality. I have a PO who does the day to day work with the devs, but otherwise it’s just me. I’ve been a PM for 15 years and never felt so understaffed. I’d like to hear the level of responsibility you each have and how your team is structured.
This week I started a listen through my entire record collection from front to back. I’ll be doing this on workdays when I am in my home office. Did it a few years ago. Collection has grown a lot since then. But I’m not doing comedy and spoken word this time. Too hard to work to those. I expect it to take 4-6 weeks at least. Depending on how many calls I have.
I’m so blessed to be in a position with multiple amazing job offers to choose from 😩 but the stress is real in choosing the best fit now…
Does your firm have a staffer that helps find and put you on projects. Or is it a find your own work or you’re on the bench kinda thing? Curious to see what others firms do

How are you all pitching dev in your pitch decks? One thing I’ve noticed is that design/UX tend to pitch their “vision” upfront, but tech is also required to give cost, timing, and price (CONT)

Seeking to transition out of the current industry into cloud computing. Spent the last 2+ years learning and acquiring experience in AWS, CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS Pipeline, GitHub, and Terraform.
