Anyone tried moving from PwC DAT to industry GRC positions? I'm currently a senior who's just finished my 5th year and been looking to potentially leave. Noticing that GRC positions usually have better pay (guessing since they're mapped under InfoSec) but the work seems really similar to what I do here in DAT already. Even still, I've been getting ghosted after applying. I'm not even going for a manager or anything, just regular GRC analyst or senior analyst positions aren't getting back to me.

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? I’m getting put up for manager a year early. I have PPMD ,SM, and M support. Pretty much support from all the key individuals on my team and in my service line. Since it is a year early if i don’t get promoted this round I know it’ll come mid year but I do expect a good salary increase still without the promo. If I don’t get the promo nor a salary increase that I’m okay with, how do I let my partner know that I will begin to entertain outside offers? some of which have offered the manager role.

Should I take this offer in a second line role with similar bad WLB as public? Current salary: 155k base, 8k annual bonus (7YOE):

I studied finance in undergrad and had a couple of internal audit internships. I only started a few month ago but I never saw myself doing IT Audit and I don’t like it thus far! Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?
