I am a graduating senior with a CS degree about to start my job in IT (low code, mostly using data tools) at a biotech company. My goal is to be a solutions architect within the next few years. Besides sol. architect cert and other AWS certifications, what can I do to put myself on the path to becoming a Solutions Architect ASAP?

Currently asking around for others that work in the hospitality industry specifically banquets or banquet serving what is the tip pool break down at your hotel servers,captain, houseman, house percentage do you think your paid fairly from the tip pool?

If things were normal and I was traveling / spending as usual, getting the CSR or AMEX platinum would make sense. But with things the way they are, what should I do? Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
