I’m in that group and I can say that how they’re pitching it is accurate in my experience. Lots of high profile clients and opportunities to shape the practice, as well as work across other solutions we offer.
When things return to normal will the model be heavy on travel? How is compensation compared to big 4?
Korn Ferry has some issues with dissatisfied employees and culture. Tread carefully and ask to speak with some real workers.
Adding onto this. My friend who interviewed did get the opportunity to meet some potential future team members. Try and read their body language on questions around wlb, culture, day to day work. Ask them what their favorite and least favorite part of the role is. Upward mobility questions too and examples of work they've been involved in. (These are usually my questions).
I had a fantastic experience at KF. Amazing manager, amazing team. Truly accelerated my career.
That's a great endorsement! Thanks! I'm mid-career (12 yoe): do you think they've got good support for that phase for new employees?
Current KF employee. I’m not close to the work in that practice area, but I can say KF has been a great place to work. World-class IP built on solid science. Great WLB and internal career opportunities.
Thanks for the note! My final offer comes through next week and this makes me even more excited to join!
Sounds like it's a pretty new practice (3+ years) within their org transformation consulting business, but that they're already doing culture change (like for CVS Health). Plus some more typical change and comms work around projects like comp change, reorgs, etc. Current practice leader came from United Minds at Weber Shandwick.
Interesting about the experience being really regional / business specific. Thanks for the tip.
Hope it's a good opportunity! Interested to hear how it goes.
Hey! How do you feel after joining? I’m speaking to someone next week
I didn't know KF had a dept that does that? Most of their work as I understand is based on executive search and or HC consulting. I've heard different experiences, overall on the culture it's dependent on the Dept, team, location. I've heard in Chicago there is a ton of burnout and pressure on the executive search teams. My buddy interviewed with them and got an offer in Atlanta, but they cancelled all hiring due to pandemic and then I heard about layoffs.
What would you be doing there in a change capacity?
