How is the WLB in Clairvoyant - an EXL company?
Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Yep, they exist, I just left a big firm to go to one of those unicorn firms. 37.5 hours from May through August, 40 hours September and mid October, 37.5 mid October through mid January and max of 50 from that point through mid April. My guaranteed bonus is 3 times what my prior firm offered and I'm making exactly the same base for now plus fast track to Partner in 3 years.
70% audit, 30% tax.
Interviewing for a company with better pay and main requirement is 40 hrs/minimum during tax season, but the option is there if you want to put more in. No judgement, an actual make your own work life balance. It is 40 hrs a week year round but the tax season hrs was what enticing me to possibly stay in PA. Gotta be there for the kids too. Bonuses are based on how many hours you work, but the pay range seems to be fair.
It depends.
