Applied to over 100 roles in LinkedIn and only got 3 interview invites. Applying for corp dev roles. Has anyone found success on applying for roles on LinkedIn. If so, any tips?

Had a final round at BCG last Friday. After the interviews they said that the would release results today. Then I got an email today saying they will only give the results on the next Friday. Had a great phone interview with a recruiter a few weeks ago. Said recruiter left and the new one said they were behind in their process but would keep me posted. That was 2 weeks ago. How to proceed?

Is it bad manners or just a bad idea to go back to a recruiter if they got you a job that wound up being a bad fit?
For context, I don’t think they misled me. The job changed 3 weeks after I got hired, and got stuck in a role that’s just not a good fit. Gave it 6 months of honest effort and I’m ready to start job hunting.
