Tough spot where I am grateful I got a role that I know a lot of people would want but am wondering if i could do any better if that makes sense.
What advice would you give someone interviewing for a finance transformation consultant role? My experience is in tech consulting/HCM so I don’t know what to expect. Thank you!
🐟 family, need some suggestions. Wife got offer from PWC (new team; technology focus; 0%-20% travel role) to join San Jose or Chicago office. We are currently in Seattle. What say you??
To those who’ve made their exit- how do you know it’s the right decision post hoc? I can’t tell if I’ve made a horrible mistake for my career, although I work less and make more
Has anyone made the move to Uber, specifically the operations and logistics manager position? Received and offer with less salary (but decent equity) and trying to weigh options and lifestyle.
Any advice?: Just finished long term W2 freelance role (since Jan) + I also have a small 1099 side project that‘ll be finishing up in 2ish wks. If we are talking >10k on 1099 (i.e. not enough to justify filing for SCorp) + <160-200k on W2 — is there any real tax advantage of opening LLC vs paying me directly outside of the “protects personal assets if ever sued”, etc? Technically I *could* open LLC quickly b4 invoicing- but dunno if worth $ to do so for such small amount of 1099 coming in?
Are there great Product Management exit opps for Big Tech or something comparable within Chicago and not only the West Coast? Most of the great comp packages I’ve seen are out there and so wanted to get some input if there are 200k+ total comp options here. Currently have 4 yoe, 2 in strategy, and a MS degree if that helps. Thank you!
Cold calling agencies. Is it weird to google/LinkedIn a specific person (HOP, say) and dial by name, directly call them? Agencies are massive and receptionists (if there is one) won’t direct you to a role. They want a name. For freelancers trying to network, this seems to be the only way in if you have no contacts there. Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
Hi need advice on what to do. Currently at 2 YOE and 80k base with ~10% bonus and really great WLB. Do I 1) leave to industry for a role I really enjoy for 110k base 5% bonus and limited growth opportunities, decent WLB 2) stay in consulting longer (whether at current firm or jump to another) and exit at a higher level
Wow interviewing sucks, felt so good about one role and got to the last stage and the person interviewing me was completely lifeless and we did not connect at all. Great end to my week 🥲

I’m a 2nd year analyst wanting to jump into Product Management. It seems most of the product management positions require a minimum of 3+ YOE in a “similar role.” Has anyone had experience leaving consulting for a product management role? Welcoming other tips and advice too.
when is it safe to give your 2 weeks? I just signed my offer and filled out the background check info. My start date is 3/29. Is it safe to think this position is secured and I can submit my two weeks tomorrow?
Do you take interviews even if you’re not super interested in the agency, just to see/create connections? Or is it better to not take the interview, save everyone’s time?
Need help with a decision and would love to hear from some experienced consultants. I have an offer to join Accenture for: - $145k salary - 5% bonus - 6% match (after vest) - 15% discounted stock purchase program At EY current -> FY21 - $100k -> $115k (est) - $5k -> $5k (est) - 1.5% match But I seriously love what I do at EY... like I think it’s very cool. I’m afraid I won’t enjoy Accenture that much and I feel I’m really making a name for myself at EY. Please help. I am coming up on 3yoe

Alaskan Air v Delta question. I'm based in Seattle and will be doing a lot of domestic USA travel (likely mostly to Vegas). If the only criteria we're examining is the best point reward system for use for leisure domestic and international travel (also considering use of partner airlines in the case of Alaskan Air), which would you choose?

If you apply as a team, both should get the same salary right? I feel like ADs make more on average though.
