Are the Accenture layoffs specific to a team or group, or throughout consulting?

I asked for a raise and instead got laid off. Told that after looking into finances not only can they not afford a raise they cannot afford me. But I know for a fact they are replacing me with an Agency that say they can run our Social Media for 500pcm. Is this normal practice these days?

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

I have chronic health issues and I’m severely depressed. I can’t even get myself to work anymore. If I don’t quit, I’m in serious danger of being fired. I started at a company 4 months ago. Remote position. Didn’t receive equipment or access until 2 months in. Boss rarely hits me up. No training or projects. Other than 1 report I send daily, I am sitting all day, waiting. Big company. Pretty sure I was a diversity hire and in comparison to my peers, under-qualified. I’m blessed bc salary is great and remote role, but not challenged and if ever a lay off - I’d for sure be on list. I can do personal things and side hustle, but what would you do?
