Are there any consulting firms that have a sales department to retain, implement and hunt for new business?

Your question is unclear, to me. What kind of business is being "retained"? Is it as risk of loss?

Consulting firms don't really operate on an ARR/MRR model. It's all project based.

Yes, they try to make their case at the C-level as to why they should be the external consultant on future projects, but most seasoned executives will go to bid in order to ensure competition, a diversity of viewpoints, and to be compliant with procurement policies or public sector regulations, as applicable.

They'll also work with large software and technology vendors to increase access to market and win implementation contracts.

The simple answer is yes, many do. Many consulting firms rely on Principals/Managing Directors for sales, there are often BD roles that can support the sales. But if often helps to have a Rolodex of industry contacts to be considered for the job.

Sorry for the barrage of posts, but this one is worth telling. Couple months ago, I found a gator hanging in my pond. I live next to a swamp so it’s not uncommon to have one wander through occasionally. This one was a little too big for my liking though. I have 3 dogs so I was worried Wally might try to eat one of them. I’m not fond of jail so I did the right thing and called a game warden to get a nuisance tag. Took 2 weeks to get it and by that time, Wally was nowhere to be found. Cont.

But they are different and I would like to stick to one path and capitalize on it. Please help which one to choose- MERN or .NET?

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

@Amadeus @Netcracker @TCS @CTS What would be Hand Salary for 35LPA Fixed(Gratuity +Com Contribution to PF Included)??

My wife texts me that my 15 month old constantly says "da-da" and walks to my office to see if him home and then looks sad when I'm not there. I don't think I can take this emotional torture. 😢

“Well you need to come to the office 3 times a week and the other two you will be popping into potential customers on site”

Me: So not remote at all…?

“No we’re remote, you get two days traveling not in the office”

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

Do most tech/SaaS companies make prospective employees sign NDAs? I'm interviewing for the first time in awhile and am entering into a final round with a company who wants me to sign an NDA prior to the interview. I'm hesitant to do so - especially since I am not sure if I even want to work for this company yet. Is this standard procedure?
