In-house shawty here. They usually have recruiters in-house and tend to also hire random small talent agencies as well for extra reach. Although most people hired here (and probably in agency side too in this market) is through referral. Just getting in touch with creatives in-house is probably your best bet.
I’ve been on both sides of it. I’ll get a reply like 25% of the time when i’ve been looking for referrals tbh so not great odds.
I try to respond to everyone but occasionally some slip away of course. Sometimes they seem like actual spam though, versus sometimes people keep it short and are clear about what they want from me and include a link to their book. Those are the most successful. Plus if they get hired i get referral money so its worth it for me to add good candidates into our talent library software.
Following. Posed this question in the In-House bowl but didn’t get any hits. I believe Cella and OLIVER are two that specialize in helping build and staff in-house.
I was approached by the in-house recruiter, but I was already working brand-side on a well-respected team. At both companies (tech), most our our talent was selectively sourced by internal recruiters, vs found from a pool of applicants. Otherwise, the other avenue to get your foot in the door is through freelance, though it’s rarely an actual means to full-time conversion if that’s the goal.
