Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

You don’t get fired from these firms unless you go out of your way to do it. You’ll be fine
Ok fine, market related to an extent but people do get fired/coached out for performance. No one talks about it, but it happens. Probably not to someone who is 0-1 year in tho.
you never overcome it, you just get used to it. eventually, you almost wish for it.

Screw up and don't get fired

The secrets that everyone screws up sometime or the other. Once you do it a few times, you'll just learn to live with it and move on.
Best Advise ever !
Noone is going to fire you for one screw up. People get fired for repeatedly screwing up. As long as you don't repeat mistakes when your seniors give you feedback, you should be good.
I don't have to tell you obviously not to break any ethical or internal code of conduct rules. That's a one strike and you are out situation.
You exit.
As a senior partner, I always fear screwing up and getting fired.

You don’t. It should be a constant fear
Screw up and realize it’s not that big a deal
