I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

I wish I got time during the school day to write progress notes and IEPs - like a half day for each iep whenever I need it and a whole day 4x a year for progress notes. Also I wish I could get like a stipend or something for working closely, providing accommodations and interventions, tracking data, etc. for each gen ed student not on my caseload.

All excellent ideas that I am sure would make your job so much sweeter! I have to admit I got filled with glee at the thought of paid days to write progress notes 😅
I don’t feel like there are perks to my job right now. I serve in a dual role as a classroom teacher AND special education teacher. Things keep being added to our plates here. Clerical things- like running our own meetings without a special ed facilitator, testing students across grade levels, being responsible for sending meeting invitations and meeting summaries to parents, updating spreadsheets constantly, managing data collection, AND planning for and prepping for the class as a whole, managing parent communication, differentiating instruction to provide tiered supports and accommodations that are NOT SpEd, the list goes on and on. The “perks” I wish for are to have a job that feels manageable- maybe an administrative assistant to manage scheduling and paperwork, or a SpEd co-teacher so I could just go back to TEACHING and all that the teaching job encompasses… rather than doing what feels like 3 jobs and doing none of them well. 😞

Wow, it seriously sounds like you are overworked and underpaid right now. Like Missouri said, you are not alone and I hope everything works out ok!!
